My grandkids might partake in a competition outing utilizing the scouts someday in January. One of many activities is to light a fire, utilizing natural ingredients, vaseline just isn’t permitted. Search for outdated pine tree stumps, search down where base/roots were. and it’s really stored sap. (IE: their dead, and dry out, maybe not the bottom of a live tree, just the stump, etc.)
